Matinee Idol

Reminiscent of “film noir” and old movie posters “Matinee Idol” refers to our celebrity culture and our fascination with heroes and superstars – our belief that anyone can accomplish anything and incidentally save the world. The dot pattern used in the image implies copies of reality and “the media.” It’s a reference to newspapers /magazines – publications that spread the word and help to create the “stars.”
